She did this one often, but would often change the sauce. I remember eating this so many Sundays at lunch with rice and black eyed peas.
Bar-B-Que Meatballs
1 1/2 lb ground beef
3/4 cup (quick) oatmeal
4 tbsp chopped onion
1 cup milk
4 tbsp melted fat (Good Grief - who would keep fat around)
Salt and Pepper
Mix ingredients together; form into small balls and brown in melted fat. Simmer meat balls in sauce for 30 minutes. Serve on toothpicks.
Sauce:
4 tbsp white vinegar
1 cup Ketchup
2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 tsp sugar
6 tsp grated onion
2/3 cup water
Combine together to make the sauce.
