Peach Fritters

2 cups chopped riped peaches
1 tablespoon sugar
dash of salt
1/2 cup sweet milk
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 eggs
1 tablesppon melted butter

Mix dry ingredients.  Beat eggs in a separate dish; add milk, and mix.  Add to this the flour mixture.  Mix well.  Add chopped peaches.  Drop by tablespoon into hot fat; turn once; remove from grease.  drain on paper towels.  Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinammon.  Serve as an accompaniment to meats.

Sounds like it would be better with ice cream....just saying
