Peach Fritters


2 cups of ripe peaches
1 tablespoon sugar
dash of salt
1/2 cup of sweet milk
1 cup of flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of melted butter

Mix all the dry ingredients together.  Beat the eggs in a separate bowl; add milk, and mix.  Add to this the flour mixture.  Mix well.  Add the chopped peaches.  Drop by tablespoon into hot "fat" (this makes me cringe every time I read one of her recipes); turn once; remove from grease.  Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon.

A sweet tasty treat would be a scoop of ice cream or whip cream.
